Setting the maximum dose and pivot dose
The doses defined below, can be used in cases where few references exist for using the balance method.
A maximum dose is one that cannot be exceed under any circumstance. It leaves open the option to spread lower doses.
A pivot dose is one from which we can make adjustments, more or less. It therefore requires adjustment rules, dose X + or – Y, Y decreases or increases if such condition (climate, variety, soil …) exists. A pivot dose is associated with adjustment rules.
